Unfurling Concrete Horizons

A Brent Community Funded Project
using the River Brent as a source for creating 16mm cyanotype prints.  The project takes place 100 years after the 1925 British Empire Exhibition held in Wembley Park opened to the public.

In the Round

The call, the response.  As the body of water ebbs and flows across the terrain, a sounding reaches into the air.  Tethered to its new form, there are echoes visible throughout the shifting spaces.

The Morning Has Gold in its Mouth

As the light lifts into the sky, a force carries and makes fungible, animated possibilities. Beyond the frame of view we can only imagine the shape left behind but still within sight and touch.

Heavy Bones

Too heavy to remain afloat and too light to maintain contact.  The figure constantly moves. To find a way to maintain a place that can accommodate its materiality, animation is its only response.
